CUERO, Texas — While the Cuero Gobblers were taking care of business on the football field Friday night, another team was hard at work behind the scenes helping make the final home game of the season a success.
Members of the Camal House crew joined volunteers from the Cuero Gobbler Booster Club, assisting in the concession stand throughout the evening as fans packed the stadium to cheer on the Gobblers.
The partnership highlighted the spirit of community involvement that has long been a part of Friday night football in Cuero. From preparing food and serving customers to keeping lines moving, the Camal House volunteers helped ensure a positive game-day experience for spectators while supporting the Booster Club’s fundraising efforts for Gobbler athletics.
The Booster Club relies on volunteers throughout the football season, and community organizations such as Camal House play an important role in supporting student-athletes and helping create the game-day atmosphere that Gobbler fans have come to enjoy.
As the regular season comes to a close and the Gobblers prepare for postseason play, Friday night’s volunteer effort served as another reminder that it takes an entire community working together to support Cuero’s traditions both on and off the field.
