CUERO — The Cuero Intermediate School is bringing a full dose of Halloween excitement to local families with a pair of student‑led events: the Haunted Circus House and a community Trunk‑or‑Treat celebration. The Cuero Student Council, National Honor Society, and Theater Company organized the events to provide safe, affordable, family‑friendly Halloween fun for all ages.
A Circus of Frights: Haunted Circus House
The Haunted Circus House will open its eerie red curtains on October 22, 24, and 29, from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. The theme transforms the school into a vintage circus tent under a full moon, complete with spooky lighting, mysterious characters, and theatrical effects created by student performers.
Admission is $5, with proceeds supporting student activities and campus organizations.
Organizers say the Haunted Circus House is designed to be “creepy but fun,” offering a walk‑through experience where “nothing is as it seems.” Visitors will encounter circus‑themed scenes, costumed actors, and interactive moments crafted by the school’s theater students.
Community Trunk‑or‑Treat
On October 31, the Intermediate School will host a Trunk‑or‑Treat from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. in the school cafeteria. Families can expect decorated trunks, candy stations, and safe trick‑or‑treating indoors — ideal for younger children or those who prefer a controlled environment.
Local student groups and volunteers will participate, adding festive decorations and costumes to create a welcoming Halloween atmosphere.
