MOULTON: Janet Marie Koncaba, 83, passed away Tuesday, October 13, 2026. She was born November 18, 1942 in Hallettsville to Walter and Elda (Bauer) Raabe Sr.
Janet was a loving wife to Emil “Pete” Koncaba until his passing in 2010. She a hard working person all her life who took great pride in cleaning business and offices.
Survivors are her daughter, Melissa Koncaba of Moulton and son, Robert Koncaba of Moulton; God-nieces Melinda Castilleja; sister, Betty Zapalac of Schulenburg; brothers, Walter Raabe Jr. (Jeanette) of Cistern, Jerome Raabe Sr. (Charlene) of Moulton and Dan Raabe (Annie) of Moulton; brother-in-law, George Berckenhoff and sister-in-law, Theresa Syrinek.
Preceded in death by her parents; husband, Emil “Pete” Koncaba; sisters, Shirley Schenweitz, Eileen Berkenhoff and Martha Zapalac.
Rosary to be recited at 9:30 a.m., with Funeral Mass at 10 a.m., Wednesday, October 21, 2026 with Rev. Gabriel Mason officiating. Burial to follow at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
Pallbearers are Michael Dierschke, Kyle Koncaba, Greg Holub, Vince Kalisek, Alfred Dierchke Jr., Mark Frederick and Richard Schacherl.
Memorials may be given to St. Joseph Catholic Church or Zion Lutheran Church.
