Cuero, Texas – In a community-driven effort to enhance Cuero’s green spaces and promote environmental sustainability, Repsol, in collaboration with the City of Cuero, the Cuero Tree Board, Keep Cuero Beautiful, and the Texas A&M Forest Service, will be planting 76 mature trees and hosting a free tree giveaway.
This event aims to provide accessible, greenspaces to the residents of Cuero, fostering a healthier and more vibrant community. The planting of these trees will contribute significantly to the city’s resilience by offering cooler temperatures, cleaner air, and safer outdoor spaces for recreation.
The tree planting and giveaway event is set to take place on Sat., February 22, 2025. Residents are encouraged to participate in this initiative and take advantage of the free tree giveaway to enhance their own properties.
The benefits of this project extend beyond aesthetics. Trees are vital to the health of our community they help reduce urban heat, improve air quality, and provide essential habitats for wildlife.
As part of the event, educational sessions on tree care and maintenance will also be provided by experts from the Texas A&M Forest Service. These sessions aim to equip residents with the knowledge needed to ensure the long-term health and growth of their newly planted trees.
