Theresa Warwas – December 9, 1936 to September 2, 2026 (89)

Theresa Warwas, age 89, passed away on Tuesday, September 2, 2026.  She was born December 9, 1936, in Runge, Texas, to the late Frank and Frances Dworaczyk. Theresa married Victor Warwas on January 27, 1962. Together they built a life grounded in commitment and shared purpose, including the 10 years they owned and operated a community store in upper Meyersville, known to many as Vic’s Place. Theresa also valued learning and achievement, graduating from Victoria College with an associate’s degree. A woman of quiet dedication, Theresa gave generously of her time to Sts. Peter & Paul’s Catholic Church. She was part of the altar society and served faithfully as treasurer for many, many years. Theresa’s curiosity and patience were evident in her interest in genealogy, where she pursued and uncovered a great deal of research. She also found joy in gardening, tending to what she planted with the same attentiveness that shaped so much of her life.

Theresa is survived by her husband, Victor Warwas; her children and their spouses, Matthew Warwas (Donna), Pam Rauch (James) and Alan Warwas (Emily); sister and brother-in-law, Patricia Barton (Ray); and grandchildren, Aiden Rauch, Anna Rauch, Ryan Rauch, and Rachel Rauch.

Theresa was preceded in death by her father, Frank Dworaczyk; mother, Frances Jendry Dworaczyk; sister, Margaret Brysch; and brothers, Frank Dworaczyk, Jr. and Eugene Dworaczyk.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, September 13, 2026 from 12:30-1:30 pm, followed by reciting of the Rosary at 1:30 pm, and Funeral Mass at 2 pm, all at St. Peter and Paul’s Catholic Church in Meyersville. Interment will immediately follow.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in her honor to the Alzheimer’s Association, www.donorservices.alz.org.
