Manuel Vega Jr., aged 43, from Goliad, Texas, passed away on Sunday, August 30, 2026, in Houston, Texas, after a battle with cancer. He was born on November 29, 1982, in Yorktown, Texas, to Manuel Vega Sr. and Loretta Davila.
Manuel had a deep affection for his figurines and his family. He had a talent for making others laugh, enjoyed preparing meals for his loved ones, cherished his Mustang, and delighted in opening Pokémon cards with his niece, Khloe. He had a passion for attending comic conventions, watching films, and going to wrestling events. He was known for his friendly nature, never meeting a stranger, and was a remarkable son, brother, uncle, and brother-in-law.
In honor of his memory, Manuel is survived by his devoted mother, Loretta Davila; his brother, Brian Vega (Tiffany); seven nieces; one nephew; one great niece; one great nephew; along with numerous other loving family members and friends.
Manuel was preceded in death by his father, Manuel Vega Sr.; his niece, Olive Vega; and his uncle, Nick Davila Sr.
Family and friends will gather for visitation on Saturday, September 12, 2026, at 1:00 PM, with a rosary to be prayed at 2:00 PM, at Grace Funeral Home, located at 214 N. Market St., in Goliad. Following the rosary, a Memorial Service will take place at 2:30 PM.
Honoring Manuel as pallbearers will be John Robert Gutierrez, Nick Davila Jr., Pablo Davila, Doyle Perkins, Tony Yarbrough, and Kyle Cano.
