Mrs. Frances Liendo, 67, of Cuero passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 20, 2026. She was born July 15, 1959 in Cuero to Delfina Garcia and John Galindo Sr. She was baptized at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church on October 16, 1960. She married Adolph Liendo Jr. with the Justice of the Peace on June 9, 1978 in Cuero and got married at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church on May 19, 1988. She worked as a housekeeper, ward clerk and housekeeping supervisor at Cuero Community Hospital from 1988 – 2016.
Frances was a loving and faithful wife to her husband of 48 years, Adolph Liendo Jr. She lived her life for her 4 daughters and 10 grandchildren. She loved dancing, listening to music and having dancing and singing contests and movie nights with her grandchildren and children. She was a devout Catholic until she was unable to move around and go anymore. She loved spending time with her sisters and sisters-in-law chatting about old times. She was a giving and caring woman and would give the shirt off her back and her last dollar if you needed it. She always made sure her family was taken care of even if that meant she went without.
She is survived by her husband of 48 years, Adolph Jr.; daughters, Kimberly Ann Mendez and husband, Albert Ray Mendez, Maria Olivia G. Liendo, Melissa Ann Liendo and Imogen Daylynn Deleon; sisters, Mary Moreno and Mary Alice Galindo; brother, Ricky Galindo; grandchildren, Robert Adolph Mendez, Albert Ray Mendez Jr., Rhyse Aniston Mendez, Juanita Marie Liendo, Miley Kiara Hernandez, Landon Cole Green, Nevaeh Frances Faith Johnson, Braxton Brier Liendo, Christopher Zapata and Rachel Frances Zapata and great-grandchild, Adonis Amir Deleon.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Yolanda Ordonez; brothers, Larry Galindo, John Galindo Jr. and George Galindo.
Visitation will be held at Freund Funeral Home on Thursday, August 27, 2026, 5:00 – 7:00 PM with a rosary to be recited at 6:30 PM. Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, August 28, 2026, 2:00 PM at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church with Father Caleb Krischke officiating.
Pallbearers include Robert Adolph Mendez, Albert Ray Mendez Jr., Braxton Brier Liendo, Christopher Zapata, Justin Banda and Albert Ray Mendez Sr.
Honorary Pallbearers include Landon Cole Green and Adonis Amir Deleon.
