YOAKUM: Ernest Charles Rosales, 70, passed away Monday, August 31, 2026. He was born November 23, 1955, in Yoakum to the late Raymond and Juanita (Charles) Rosales.
Ernest lived in Yoakum all his life and worked for the City of Yoakum until retirement. He enjoyed spending time with his family and making barbeque.
Survivors are his wife, Maria “Flor” Rosales of Yoakum; sons, Donnie Rosales and wife Amber of Yoakum and Camilo Rosales and wife Tomasa of Columbus; daughter, Courtney Lynn Rosales of San Antonio; 7 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild; sister, Alvira Gonzales of Yoakum and brother, Sam Rosales Sr. (Cecilia) of Yoakum.
Preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Raymond Rosales, Simon Rosales, Joe Rosales and Pablo Rosales.
Funeral services were held Friday, September 4, 2026 with with Pastor Vincent Villareal officiating. Ernest was buried at Guadalupe Cemetery.
Memorials may be given to Thiele-Cooper Funeral Home to help defray funeral cost.
