YOAKUM: Elena Gonzales, age 71, passed away September 5, 2026. She was born August 16, 1955 in Robstown, Texas to Domingo Gonzales and Eulalia Mendoza. She was a homemaker. She enjoyed spending time with her family, playing bingo, watching wrestling and cooking.
Survivors: lifelong companion, Victor Wayne Clark; daughters, Elena Cherri Law, Victoria Christy Houston (Rigoberto) and Kristina Luu (Ryan); sons, Gregg Campos (Terry), James Law, Neil Hull, Jessie Plummer (Kevin) and Samuel Rogers; 15 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren; sisters, Rosa Rodriguez (Scott), Alma Harris, Diane Moore and Naomi Bermea; brothers, Simon Rodriguez (Beatrice), Jose Rodriguez, Selestino Rodriguez Jr, Domingo Gonzales Jr (Wayne), Roger Gonzales (Gloria), Ernest Gonzales (Delia) and Ralph Gonzales (Norma); step-mother, Gregoria Gonzales.
Preceded in death by: parents; daughter, Angelica Ramos; sons, Robert Campos and Keil Law; sisters, Esmeralda Rodriguez and Isabel Rodriguez; step-father, Selestino Rodriguez Sr.

Funeral service 10:00 a.m. Saturday, September 19, 2026 at Thiele-Cooper Funeral Home with Pastor Pete Garza officiating. Burial St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
