Cuero, Texas – November 2024
Cuero’s Chisholm Trail Heritage Museum (CTHM) hosted its annual Membership Party Thursday, November 14, 2024, marking an evening of celebration and recognition. The event was graced by the presence of Texas State Representative Geanie Morrison, who presented the museum and its Chairman, Robert Oliver, with a state proclamation honoring CTHM for its significant achievements in historic preservation, cultural education, and heritage.
Representative Morrison also took the opportunity to honor Sharon Weber, the recently retired Executive Director of CTHM. In a surprise presentation, Rep. Morrison delivered a resolution acknowledging Sharon’s 40 plus years of dedicated service to the museum, Cuero Community Hospital, and the greater Cuero community. This well-deserved honor highlights Sharon’s invaluable contributions and long-standing commitment.
CTHM extends its heartfelt thanks to all its members and community supporters. Their continued support is vital to the museum’s mission of preserving the ranching and Western heritage of South Central Texas. The collective effort of the community ensures the success and ongoing impact of CTHM’s programs and initiatives.

The museum is delighted to welcome its newest staff members: Courtney Kubesch, Business Manager, and Julia Stafford, Development & Marketing Manager. Courtney and Julia will be co-managing various components of the museum operations following Sharon Weber’s retirement. Their expertise and enthusiasm are a valuable addition to the CTHM team.

The CTHM team invites everyone to join in welcoming Courtney and Julia to their new roles. Together, with the support of our dedicated members and community, we look forward to continuing our mission of celebrating and preserving the rich heritage of South Central Texas.
