YOAKUM: Ann Marie Richter, age 86, passed away August 10, 2026.
She was born February 3, 1940 in Sweet Home, Texas to Joseph and Lucy Kocian Gajdusek.
She was a nurse for over 30 years and was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. She enjoyed her cats, traveling, camping and working in her yard.
Survivors: sons, William Edward Richter and Robert Joseph Richter; grandchildren, Scott Richter (Christa) and Ashlyn Richter (Mason); great-grandchildren, Blake Guettner, Holdyn Guettner, Hallie Guettner, Rhett Richter and Rylan Richter.
Preceded in death by: parents; husband, Raymond Richter; infant daughter, Lisa Richter; grandson, Joshawa Richter; sister, Theresa Staha; brother, David Gajdusek and two four-legged children, Ching Ching and LaBo
A Rosary followed by a Funeral Mass was held on Thursday, August 13, 2026 at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Rev. Matthew Huehlefeld officiating. She was buried at St. Ann’s Catholic Cemetery.
Pallbearers: Scott Richter, Ashlyn Richter, Mason Guettner, Blake Guettner, Bernard Jurena and Kayleen Jurena.
