Cuero Regional Hospital is preparing to host a two‑day Free Well‑Woman Cancer Screening and Early Detection event, offering vital preventive services to women across the region. The clinic will be open July 23–24, 2026, providing no‑cost screenings made possible through the Cancer Prevention & Research Institute of Texas and the Texas C‑STEP program.
Women are encouraged to schedule an appointment ahead of time by calling 361‑275‑0170, as early detection remains one of the strongest tools in improving long‑term health outcomes.
The event will offer a wide range of services, including mammograms, Pap tests, clinical breast exams, colonoscopy and FIT tests, HPV vaccinations, Hepatitis C testing, and additional diagnostic procedures. These screenings are available to women who are uninsured or underinsured, with participants asked to bring a government‑issued ID, proof of Texas residency, and proof of income.
The program serves numerous counties across the region, and organizers are encouraging residents to help spread the word so more women can access these lifesaving services.
The clinic will be held at Cuero Regional Hospital, 2550 N Esplanade, Cuero, Texas, and appointments are now being scheduled.
