YOAKUM: Mark Allen Vaclavik, age 66, passed away July 22, 2026. He was born July 6, 1960 in Yoakum to Edwin and Ardyce Douglass Vaclavik.
He worked at Stanley’s during his high school years. After graduation he went to Stanley’s in Hallettsville where he was assistant manager at a young age. He pursued salesmen’s positions then was a co-owner of V&V Discount Liquor and 4×4’s of South Texas Yamaha. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. He was a loving husband, dad, gramps, son and brother to his family.
Survivors: mother, Ardyce Vaclavik; wife of 43 years, Mary Vaclavik; daughter, Mallory DeBord (Kaleb); son, Mitchell Vaclavik (Kaci); grandchildren, Kallyn Vaclavik and Kade Vaclavik; sister, Sharon Vaclavik.
Preceded in death by his father, Edwin Vaclavik.
Rosary and a funeral Mass were held July 27, 2026 at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Rev. Matthew Huehlefeld officiating. Burial St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
Pallbearers: Mitchell Vaclavik, Kaleb DeBord, Bryan Vaclavik, Patrick Vaclavik, Adolph Chumchal, Brian Lauer, Wade Lauer and Hunter Lauer. Honorary pallbearers: Hayne Hermes, Dick Shindler, Paul Shindler, John Vaclavik and David Vaclavik.
Memorial contributions may be given to St. Joseph Catholic Church.
