HALLETTSVILLE: Karen Sue Jansky, age 82, passed away July 6, 2026. She was born September 28, 1943 in Taft, Texas.
She went to Catholic school and graduated from Incarnate Word Academy in Corpus Christi. Karen met Johnnie in Sinton and after they married they moved to Houston. She was a bank secretary. Karen was always the caretaker of the family, taking care of her husband until his passing in 2003 and then her mother moved in with her until she passed in 2011. Karen always enjoyed sitting around a table going down memory lane and sharing stories with whoever would listen. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren & great-grandchildren, going on cruises, working word search puzzles and watching Hallmark movies. Upon her death she fulfilled her wish to be re-united with her husband, Johnnie.
Survivors: son: John V Jansky III (Tamme); grandchildren, Christen Roberts (Clinton), Chad Jansky (Michelle), Jordyn Jansky and Jakub Jansky; great-grandchildren, Estelle Roberts, Henry Roberts, Abigail Roberts, Aubrey Jansky and Nolan Jansky.
Preceded in death by: parents, Aubrey & Doraine Klapuch Buck; husband, Johnnie V Jansky.
Visitation 9:00 a.m. followed by Funeral Mass at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 11, 2026 at Ascension of Our Lord Catholic Church in Moravia with Rev. Christopher Bediako officiating. Burial to follow at Ascension of Our Lord Catholic Cemetery.
Pallbearers: Chad Jansky, Clinton Roberts, Kirk Griffith, Brian Jansky, Grant Jansky, Taylor Jansky. Honorary pallbearer: James Jansky.
