Jo Ann Hoelscher, 86, of Nordheim, passed away Thursday, September 3, 2026. She was born November 19, 1939, in Corpus Christi to Norwick “Buddy” and Edna Joly Gravett. Jo Ann was a loving wife and devoted homemaker who found great joy in caring for children. She also had a tender heart for animals and was always willing to open her home and heart to any homeless animal in need. Her caring and compassionate nature was evident in the love she gave so freely to both people and animals throughout her life.
Jo Ann is survived by her son Joseph Shane Hoelscher.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Joseph Hoelscher, and daughter Sharon Jean Hoelscher Ferrell.
Visitation will be 5-6 pm Tuesday, September 15, 2026 with Rosary at 6 pm at Massey Funeral Home. Funeral Mass will be 11 am Wednesday, September 16, 2026 at Holy Cross Catholic Church. Interment to follow at Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery.
Memorials may be given to Holy Cross Catholic Church or donor’s choice.
