- Cuero City Mayor Emil Garza proposes the formation of a Youth Council and is accepting applicants from Junior and Senior High School Students.
- In mid-September the Cuero Turkeyfest and City of Cuero delegation along with their star athlete Ruby Begonia head to Worthington Minnesota for their King Turkey Day celebration. The show down begins in the Great Gobbler Gallop Ruby Begonia VS Paycheck!!!

- The Dewitt County commissioners voted to approve a tax rate of $.36601 per $100 valuation.

- Yorktown Chamber of Commerce is holding TRIVIA NIGHT benefitting the Yorktown Chamber of Commerce Scholarship Fund. Saturday, September 14, 2024 from 8- 10pm @ Gasch’s Place in Yorktown 101 S.
