Cuero, Texas — The Yorktown Bicentennial Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) has awarded its 2026 DAR Good Citizen Scholarship to Cuero High School graduate Julianna Cox, recognizing her outstanding character, leadership, and commitment to civic responsibility. Cox received a $500 scholarship as part of the chapter’s annual Good Citizen program.
Chapter Regent Stacy Barth presented Cox with the official DAR certificate, while chapter member Sharon Weber pinned the DAR Good Citizen insignia, marking the formal acknowledgment of Cox’s achievement.
The Daughters of the American Revolution is a national, nonprofit, nonpolitical volunteer service organization dedicated to historic preservation, education, and patriotism. Its Good Citizen program honors students who exemplify dependability, service, leadership, and patriotism—qualities Cox has demonstrated throughout her time at Cuero High School.
Chapter members expressed pride in Cox’s accomplishments and confidence in her continued success as she moves forward in her academic and civic pursuits.
