The Texas House Republican Caucus has announced the appointment of its Policy Committee for the 89th legislative session, with Representative Mike Schofield serving as the Chair. The committee is composed of sixteen members, with two representatives from each of the six policy regions and three additional members appointed by the caucus chair.
The Policy Committee will convene daily in accordance with the House floor calendar to provide legislative recommendations on critical bills. This structure aims to ensure that the committee can effectively address the pressing issues facing Texans.
Among the appointed members is AJ Louderback, State Representative for House District 30, who will represent South Texas on the Policy Committee. Louderback expressed his enthusiasm for the role, stating that he looks forward to working hard for House District 30 and upholding Texas’s conservative values.
