YOAKUM: Frances M. Garza, age 86, passed away August 22, 2026. She was born December 26, 1939, in Hallettsville, to Pedro and Pauline Hernandez De La Rosa. She was a homemaker, cleaned houses and was a babysitter. She enjoyed spending time with her family, playing games, being outside and putting together puzzles.
Survivors: daughter, Monica Partida; sons, Jesse Garza (Janie Ann), Jack R. Garza, Richard V. Garza and Concepcion Garza Jr. (Sabrina); 10 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren; sisters, Natividad Neubauer (William) and Cecilia Banda; brothers, Tony De La Rosa (Margaret) and Henry De La Rosa.
Preceded in death by: parents; husband, Concepcion Garza; sisters, Santos De La Rosa, Simona Girtman and Mary De La Rosa; brothers, Lupe De La Rosa, Martin De La Rosa, Chapo De La Rosa, Coop De La Rosa and Masimo De La Rosa.
A Rosary was recited, followed by a Funeral Mass at St. Joseph Catholic Church, with Rev. Matthew Huehlefeld officiating. Interment took place at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
Pallbearers: Christina Garza, Curtis Smith, Jeremiah Smith, Jathan Vasquez, Martin Partida and Diego Garza.
Memorial contributions may be given to St. Joseph Catholic Church or donor’s choice.
