YOAKUM — The Yoakum Band Booster Club is gearing up for a community‑focused fundraiser that blends hometown tradition with support for local students. On Tuesday, October 6, 2026, the organization will host a barbecue plate sale at the Yoakum Community Center, offering residents a chance to enjoy a classic Texas meal while contributing directly to the Yoakum band program.
The fundraiser will run from 4:30 to 6:00 p.m., with clear signage guiding drivers to the pickup area. Each plate — priced at $13.00 — features pork steaks with trimmings, a staple that has long been popular at Booster events. Proceeds will help fund equipment, travel, uniforms, and other needs that keep the band performing at its best throughout the school year.
