Janis Dee Reinhardt, 75, of Cuero, passed away Monday, June 1, 2026. Janis was born January 1, 1951, in Cuero to the late Dorothy Evelyn West Cox and Sylvan Earl Cox. She loved working outdoors, driving the tractor, mowing, and riding the mule. Janis was a devoted homemaker and an amazing full-time mother who never missed her daughter Amber’s basketball games and the opportunity to watch her other daughter, Kara, cheer throughout their high school years.
Along with the deep love she had for her husband and daughters, her other pride and joy was her grandchildren. Janis never missed any of their sporting events and was always among their biggest and loudest cheerleaders.
Janis is survived by her husband of 52 years, Bill Reinhardt; daughters, Amber Fink (Corey) and Kara Fink (Jerrod); granddaughter, Madison Fink (fiancé, Kaden Holik); grandsons, Cade Fink, Blaine Fink, Blayton Fink, and Hunter Fink; sister, Pam Morrow (Darrell), brother, Shelton Wilson (Ellen); brother-in-law, Steve Lester; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; granddaughter, Ashley Brooke Reinhardt Fink; and sister, Barbara Cox Lester.
Visitation will begin at 1 pm on Saturday, June 6, 2026 at Freund Funeral Home, funeral service will begin at 2 pm.
Pallbearers include Cade Fink, Madison Fink (Kaden Holik), Blaine Fink, Blayton Fink, Hunter Fink, and Brandon Morrow. Honorary pallbearers include Derick Zimmerman, and Blake Morrow.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in remembrance of Janis Reinhardt, may be made to the First Baptist Church in Cuero.
