Unofficial Results Released for DeWitt County School Board Races

CUERO — DeWitt County has released its unofficial results from Saturday’s school board elections, offering the community an early look at how voters cast their ballots in several contested races. These numbers include absentee, early voting, and Election Day totals. Final results will be confirmed once the canvass is completed by county officials.


Cuero ISD Single Member District 3

Early totals show Wanda N. Campbell Prince Zuniga leading the race for Single Member District 3.

  • Wanda N. Campbell Prince Zuniga: 63 votes (58.33%)
  • Cindy Lange: 45 votes (41.67%)

No undervotes or overvotes were reported in this race.

Cuero ISD Single Member District 4

In District 4, Justin Cooper holds a strong lead based on the unofficial totals.

  • Justin Cooper: 116 votes (78.91%)
  • Jason Collier: 31 votes (21.09%)

All ballots cast in this race were counted with no undervotes or overvotes.

Yorktown School Board Trustee (At‑Large)

Five candidates competed for the at‑large trustee position. Unofficial results show Jennifer Franke ahead in total votes, followed by Benjamin Hahn and Manuel Macias, Jr.

  • Jennifer Franke: 825 votes (39.19%)
  • Benjamin Hahn: 413 votes (19.62%)
  • Manuel Macias, Jr.: 325 votes (15.45%)
  • Tyler Lemke: 315 votes (14.97%)
  • John Young: 165 votes (7.84%)

One undervote was recorded in this race.


Turnout

According to the report, 786 of the county’s 4,635 registered voters participated in the election, reflecting a turnout of 16.96%.
