Cuero, Texas — A beloved member of the Cuero community, Ms. Kathleen Ernster marked a remarkable milestone this month as she celebrated 100 beautiful years of life surrounded by friends, family, and fellow parishioners.
On Saturday, July 5, following the 5 PM Mass at St. Michael’s Catholic Church, Ms. Ernster was honored with a joyful cake and punch reception recognizing her century of faith, grace, and steadfast commitment to others. Attendees gathered to pay tribute to her legacy—a life defined by generosity, devotion, and deep local ties.
Ms. Ernster has been a cherished member of the St. Michael’s Catholic Daughter Court #347 for an astounding 80 years, exemplifying the values of service and spiritual leadership. In recognition of her enduring support and contributions to St. Michael’s Catholic School, she was presented the Distinguished Alumni Award by the Most Reverend Bishop Brendan Cahill, celebrating her role as both alumna and advocate.
Throughout her life, Kathleen has been known not only for her devotion to the Church and education, but for embodying the spirit of Cuero itself—humble, faithful, and community-centered. Her gentle presence and unwavering support have touched generations.
