In a commendable effort, the Yoakum Police Department, in collaboration with Homeland Security Investigations (HSI), successfully located and apprehended two illegal immigrants involved in criminal activity within our community. This joint operation underscores the importance of strong partnerships between local and federal agencies in ensuring the safety of our city.
One of the individuals arrested had an active felony warrant for human smuggling out of Uvalde. The other suspect was involved in an aggravated sexual assault of a child case, which led to an arrest warrant being obtained. The swift action of the Yoakum Police Department and HSI agents in apprehending these suspects has prevented further harm and brought justice to our community.
“We remain committed to protecting our community and ensuring justice is served,” said a spokesperson from the Yoakum Police Department. “These arrests highlight the critical role of collaboration between local and federal agencies in maintaining public safety.”
The operation’s success is a testament to the dedication and hard work of our officers and HSI agents. Their efforts in bringing these individuals to justice are greatly appreciated by the community.
As the investigation continues, the Yoakum Police Department and HSI will work closely to ensure that all aspects of the cases are thoroughly examined. The community can rest assured that our law enforcement agencies are tirelessly working to keep Yoakum safe.
