Laura “Lala” Pena, 47 years old, passed away peacefully in her home on September 13, 2026. Laura was born on August 3, 1979, to parents: Robert Pena and Angela Macias Pena in Gonzales, Texas.
Laura was a beautiful bright person who was loved by all people and made friends everywhere she went. Laura is a graduate from Nixon-Smiley High School. Laura loved coloring pages, coloring was her favorite pass time. When she heard music, nothing stopped her from dancing. She always had a big, beautiful smile.
Laura is preceded by her father: Robert J Pena; brother: Philip J Pena; Grandparents: Jacob and Juanita Pena and Pablo and Guadalupe Macias.
Laura is survived by her mother: Angela Pena; sister: Veronica and “Ryan” Fahrig; brothers: Robert J Pena and Bobby J Pena; nephews: Emilio Espinal, Carlos Negron, and Gabriel Pena; niece: Aubrey Rose Pena; special friends: LaTanya, Yoli and Mary Lynn.
The Funeral Mass was officiated by Father Naveen Thumma, and interment followed at Smiley Latin American Cemetery.
