The Cuero Police Department formally introduced its newest officer, Mark Torres, during the August 10 City Council meeting. Officer Torres comes to Cuero with prior law‑enforcement experience in College Station and the Webb County Constable’s Office, bringing a strong background in public safety to his new role.
During the meeting, Officer Torres was recognized alongside his wife and parents, who attended in support as he was welcomed into the department. Cuero PD leadership expressed appreciation for his commitment to service and noted that his experience will be a valuable addition to the community.
Residents may see Officer Torres out in the community as he begins his duties, and the department encourages citizens to extend a warm welcome as he settles into his new position.
