JOYCE LAMPRECHT – MAY 31, 1930 – JUNE 21, 2026 (96)

Joyce Lamprecht passed away peacefully on June 21, 2026, at the age of 96. Her wish was to live to be 100, but God had other plans and said, “Come to me, all you that are weary and are carrying heavy burdens, and I will give you rest.” Joyce was born on May 31, 1930, in Yorktown, Texas to Berthold and Antonette Kenne Ideus.  She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church and a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend. Joyce was married to Wilfred Lamprecht on June 6, 1948. Together they were blessed with three children, Terry, Sherri & Holly. Joyce was a housewife most of her married life, but in early 2000 she was employed by YISD as a teacher’s aide and then a substitute teacher for several years.

Joyce was preceded in death by her parents, husband Wilfred, son Terry, brother-in-law and sister-in-law Werner and Dorothy Lamprecht and nephew Brian David Lamprecht.

Joyce is survived by daughters Sherri Hoefling & husband Terry of Pflugerville and Holly Lamprecht & partner Michael Kuhn of Victoria.  Grandchildren Kyle Hoefling and fiancee Dara Gill, Amy Lamprecht, Kevin Lamprecht and wife Shawna, Keith Seglem, Shawn Rice & friend Jared Shubert. Great-granddaughters Presley Hoefling, Kaydynce and Skyland Lamprecht, Karie & Kylie Oliver-Seglem. Daughter-in-law Valda Lamprecht. Step-grandchildren Kyle Hranicky, Shyanne and husband Raeley Debord, children Daegyn, Brakkyn & Reece, Kynli and husband Parker Goebel, daughter Kelbi. She is also survived by nephew Randy Lamprecht, nieces, Dee Stuart and husband Roger, Donna Nelson and numerous friends.

Pallbearers will be her grandchildren Kyle Hoefling, Amy Lamprecht, Kevin Lamprecht, Keith Seglem and Shawn Rice; also, Dennis Schroller, Jay Schroller, Kurt Lemke, Michael Kuhn & Jared Shubert.

Honorary Pallbearers are Great-Granddaughters, Randy Lamprecht, Bill Klaevemann, Ben Parma, Jeff Massey, Jesse & Linda Hurta, St. Paul Lutheran Church Choir, Dr. Robert Hicks, Dr. John Barber, Dr. Aaron New.

She is buried at St. Paul Lutheran Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to St. Paul Lutheran Church, Yorktown EMS or Yorktown Volunteer Fire Department.
