The Cuero Sportsman Club will welcome shooters from across the region on Saturday, May 30, 2026, for its monthly 75‑Bird Shotgun Sportsman Shoot. The event, held every fifth Saturday of the month, invites both seasoned competitors and recreational shooters to take part in a morning of friendly competition and sportsmanship.
The shoot will take place at the Cuero Sportsman Club, located at 902 East Bailey in Cuero. Registration opens at 8:00 a.m. with a 10:30 a.m. cutoff, and shooting will begin promptly at 9:00 a.m.
Participants will compete on a 75‑target program that includes 50 Hillbilly Five Stand targets and 25 Wobble Trap singles from the 16‑yard line. Entry fees are $50 per shooter, with a total of $75 for those choosing to participate in all available options.
Optional pots include three $5 field option pots, a $5 two‑man blind draw team option, and a $5 high‑overall pot. All optional pots will be divided on a 60/40 payout.
Cash awards will also be distributed to class winners, with $5 from each entry fee contributing to the prize pool. Payouts will be divided 60/40 between first and second place in each class: AA (50%), A (30%), and B (20%).
Event organizers emphasize that safety will be strictly enforced throughout the competition. All participants must sign a liability waiver at check‑in.
