Yoakum, TX — The Yoakum Bulldog Band is marching into the spotlight with pride and precision after a stellar showing at the ATSSB Region 12 auditions. Nine talented students have earned coveted placements in the Region 12 Bands and will advance to the Area level, continuing a tradition of musical excellence that resonates far beyond the band hall.
Under the banner of “The Proud & Spirited Yoakum Bulldog Band,” these young musicians showcased their dedication, skill, and heart, representing Yoakum with distinction:
🎺 Symphonic Band Placements & Area Advancements
- Allison Cardona (Flute) – Advanced to 3A Area
- Bryson Danish (Clarinet) – Advanced to 3A Area
- Trenton Mercado (Baritone Saxophone) – Advanced to Area
- Luis Richardson (French Horn) – Advanced to Area
🎼 Concert Band Placements
- Zachary Sorrell (Bassoon)
- Julian Espinoza (Bass Trombone)
🎷 Concert Band & Area Advancements
- Brandon Godwin (Euphonium) – Advanced to Area
- Gunnar Frank (Euphonium) – Advanced to Area
- Julian Rivas (Tuba) – Advanced to Area
- Brock Adams – Advanced to Area
These students now prepare for the next level of competition, where they’ll vie for spots in the prestigious All-State Band. Their success reflects not only individual talent but the strength of Yoakum’s music program and the unwavering support of band directors, families, and the community.
Band Director and staff expressed pride in the students’ accomplishments, noting the long hours of practice, sectional rehearsals, and personal commitment that led to this moment.
