MEYERSVILLE — Ronald “Skipper” LeBlanc, aged 78, passed away suddenly on February 16, 2025, in Meyersville, Texas. Born on March 23, 1946, in San Bernadino, California, Ronald was a revered educator and entrepreneur, known for his wit, intelligence, and multifaceted talents.
Ronald’s academic journey began at St. Joe Academy in Jeanerette, Louisiana, and culminated with a master’s degree in education from the University of Southwest Louisiana. Ronald was the owner of Match Point Tennis Shop and a respected tennis instructor and pro at the New Iberia Country Club.
His love for tennis was paralleled by his other hobbies, which included fishing, flying as a skilled pilot, playing the guitar, reading, watching classic movies, and renovating his farm.
Ronald’s life was rich with personal connections.
He is survived by his loving partner of 15 years Carol; Daughters; Stephanie, Jill, and Katie; son-in-law David; and grandchildren Dylan, Michael, Santos, and Ruby. He was preceded in death by his parents, Alex and May LeBlanc.
