YOAKUM: Ricky Matthew Ramirez, age 53, passed away Sunday, May 11, 2025. He was born June 20, 1971, in Yoakum to Esther Torres and Mike Ramirez.

He worked at Eddy Packing and was a Catholic. He cared for his mother and was a loving uncle and a father figure to many. He was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan.

Survivors: mother, Esther Garza; sisters, Shirley Aleman (Jesus), Carrie Ramirez, Frankie Ford and Amy Pineda; brothers, Joseph Garza, Roger Garza (Joe), Anthony Pineda (Evie) and Dontay Gonzales (Danielle) along with nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews that he helped raise.

Preceded in death by: paternal father, Mike Ramirez; father who raised him, Ernest Garza Sr.; brother, Ernest Garza Jr.

Viewing 11:00 till 1:30 p.m. then a graveside service at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 13, 2025 at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery with Deacon Dennis Kutach officiating.

Pallbearers: Dontay Gonzales, Armodd Samuel, Anthony Pineda, Justin Garza, Andy Guerrero and Darion Lenzy.
