Following a comprehensive review and evaluation, the council has decided to raise Bergerβs annual salary by $5,000, bringing it to a total of $146,500, effective April 9, 2024.
This decision reflects the councilβs recognition of Bergerβs pivotal role in steering the administrative functions of the city. Bergerβs responsibilities are extensive and include appointing and removing city employees, selecting and evaluating department heads, and preparing the cityβs annual budget.
